The ACCUPRO 311395 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/4 inch length of cut, with five spiral flutes that improve chip evacuation and surface finish. The 38-degree helix angle reduces cutting forces and helps maintain stability at higher feed rates. An AlTiCrN coating provides excellent heat resistance and wear protection, making this end mill well suited for hardened steels, stainless, and high-temperature alloys. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool from the HS Series, built from micrograin carbide for edge retention in demanding cuts.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for slotting, profiling, and finishing operations. The variable index flute spacing helps dampen chatter during aggressive cuts. With a 3/16 inch shank diameter matching the cutter diameter, it fits standard collets and end mill holders of the same bore. The 2.5 inch overall length provides adequate clearance for most workholding setups without sacrificing rigidity. Machinists working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this tool appropriate for tight-tolerance finish work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 3/16 inch shank end mill holders and collet chucks used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. No specific OEM replacement part numbers were provided in available product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum engagement depth in the collet or holder to prevent pullout under load. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, particularly at the small diameter of this tool where even minor runout significantly impacts tool life and surface finish.
