The ACCUPRO 311392 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and hardened materials. With a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter and five flutes, this single-end centercutting tool delivers smooth chip evacuation and improved surface finish in finish and semi-finish passes. The AlCrTiN coating provides thermal stability and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. A 38-degree helix angle promotes aggressive yet controlled cutting action. The variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic vibration during high-speed cuts, making this tool well suited for tight-tolerance work on CNC machining centers.
The 311392 is used in precision machining applications requiring a blended corner radius on part features, such as die and mold work, aerospace components, and general CNC milling. The corner radius end geometry reduces stress concentration at the tool corner and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner alternatives. With a 9/16 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length, it fits standard toolholders for short-reach finish passes. Machinists working in job shops, production facilities, and tool-and-die environments are the primary users of this tool series.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter toolholder or collet.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, zero-energy state per applicable shop safety procedures. Ensure the toolholder collet or chuck is clean and free of debris before seating the 3/16 inch shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rates for the coating and substrate grade in use.
