The ACCUPRO 311348 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Measuring 0.125 inches (1/8 inch) in diameter with a 0.25 inch (1/4 inch) length of cut and a 1.5 inch overall length, this single-end tool runs five flutes with a 38-degree helix angle and variable index geometry. An AlTiCrN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and wear resistance at small diameters. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this end mill is suited for high-performance slotting, profiling, and finishing operations in ferrous and hardened materials.
The 311348 is designed for applications where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required at small diameters. The right-hand spiral flute geometry with right-hand cutting direction supports efficient chip evacuation during full-depth slotting passes. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry. With a 1/8 inch shank diameter matching the cutter diameter, this tool fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. It is well suited for mold and die work, aerospace component finishing, and precision part production where small-feature accuracy is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder torque procedures and runout inspection. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended insertion depth before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, particularly at this small diameter where deflection is a factor.
