The ACCUPRO 311290 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length, making it suitable for moderate-depth profiling and contouring operations. The AlCrTiN coating provides thermal stability and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. With four flutes, right-hand cutting and flute direction, a 38-degree helix, and a variable index design, this end mill is built for machinists running aggressive tool paths in hardened steels, stainless, and high-temp alloys on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is intended for use in precision machining shops, tool rooms, and production environments where controlled corner geometry is critical. The 0.030 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and helps produce a consistent blend radius on floor-to-wall transitions. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry where required. The micrograin solid carbide substrate and chipbreaker geometry support both roughing and semi-finishing applications in a single pass setup. It is suited for vertical machining centers and horizontal mills running standard or high-speed machining programs.
Designed as a standard shank end mill compatible with 1/2 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for solid carbide tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the retention mechanism to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chipping before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and sensitive to improper handling or interrupted cuts.
