The ACCUPRO 311214 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, 3D profiles, and complex geometries in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiCrN, it delivers high heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The 4-flute, 38-degree variable-index helix geometry improves chip evacuation and reduces chatter. With a 5/8-inch diameter and 1-1/4-inch length of cut, it suits medium-depth finishing and semi-finishing passes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this mill in CNC machining centers requiring tight tolerances and consistent surface finish.
The 311214 is suited for milling hardened steels, stainless, and high-temperature alloys in both production and job-shop environments. The AlTiCrN coating extends tool life in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard 5/8-inch collets and end mill holders. With a 3-1/2-inch overall length and standard length classification, it fits a wide range of CNC vertical and horizontal machining center setups without requiring extended-reach toolholders.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning any cutting operation.
