The ACCUPRO 310745 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring extended reach and a tight corner radius profile. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN for heat and wear resistance, this single-end, centercutting tool measures 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration and a 38-degree helix angle. The 0.010-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding materials. Overall length is 3 inches with a 7/32-inch length of cut. Variable index spacing helps suppress chatter during aggressive cuts.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where extended reach into deep pockets, slots, or cavities is required. The reduced neck diameter of 0.178 inches enables clearance in tight geometries. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component finishing, and precision part machining in ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. The AlCrTiN coating makes it especially effective in dry or semi-dry cutting environments at elevated temperatures. A licensed machinist or CNC operator running finish or semi-finish passes will find this tool well suited to high-speed, low-radial-engagement strategies.
Designed as a standard 3/16-inch shank end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. No specific machine or system compatibility was stated in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Seat the shank to the full recommended grip depth in the toolholder to minimize runout and prevent pullout under cutting loads. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the specific workpiece material and coating type.
