The ACCUPRO 310600 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for demanding material removal in professional machining environments. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 4.25 inch length of cut, and four spiral flutes with a 38-degree helix angle. The cutting edges are finished with an AlTiCrN coating, which provides high thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. The micrograin carbide substrate supports precise edge geometry and longer tool life under aggressive feed rates. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting tool, making it capable of plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling operations. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, toolrooms, and production facilities are the primary users.
The 310600 is suited for milling ferrous and hardened materials where coating performance and rigidity are critical. Its 1 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, eliminating any step-down, and its 7 inch overall length accommodates setups that require extended reach into deep pockets or along tall workpiece profiles. The variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic vibration during heavy cuts, improving surface finish and extending tool life. This end mill fits standard 1 inch collets, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use in standard 1 inch collet chucks, hydraulic holders, and shrink-fit toolholding systems on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. Part of the ACCUPRO HS series of solid carbide end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-change mode is engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank to the minimum insertion depth recommended for the holder type being used, and verify runout with a dial indicator before starting a cut. Consult the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when selecting speeds, feeds, and clamping torque for the toolholder.
