The ACCUPRO 310332 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The 4-flute, single-end geometry with a 38-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth finishes on contoured surfaces. An AlCrTiN coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. The corner radius end type reduces stress concentrations at the tool tip, making this mill well suited for profiling, slotting, and finishing passes where a sharp corner is not required. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments use this tool for demanding material removal applications.
This end mill is built for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where right-hand cutting and right-hand flute spiral geometry are specified. The variable index design helps break up harmonics and reduce chatter during full-depth passes. The centercutting configuration allows plunge entry, adding versatility for interpolated bore entries and pocket starts. It is suitable for applications involving alloy steels, hardened steels, stainless steels, and other materials where AlCrTiN coating performance is an advantage. The straight cylindrical shank with a 1/2 inch diameter fits standard end mill holders and collet chucks without modification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Seat the shank fully to the recommended insertion depth for the toolholder in use and verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the material being machined, as carbide end mills are susceptible to chipping under shock loading or excessive deflection.
