The ACCUPRO 310275 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and hardened materials. Built to Series HS specifications, it features an AlCrTiN coating that resists heat and wear under demanding cutting conditions. The 1/2-inch diameter, four-flute configuration with a 38-degree variable-index helix delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The 0.090-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge and reduces stress concentration at the workpiece corner. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 5/8-inch length of cut, this centercutting end mill is suited for plunge, slot, and profile operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops or production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills where corner radius profiling is required on ferrous alloys, stainless steels, and hardened tool steels. The AlCrTiN coating makes it appropriate for dry or minimum-quantity lubrication (MQL) cutting strategies at elevated spindle speeds. Its straight-cylindrical 1/2-inch shank seats directly in standard ER or end mill holders. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction suit conventional and climb milling passes on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use in standard 1/2-inch end mill holders, ER32 collet chucks, and hydraulic or shrink-fit toolholding systems on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Intended as a direct replacement or standard tooling selection where a 1/2-inch diameter corner radius end mill with a straight-cylindrical shank is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before loading or unloading the end mill. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or damage before each use; a damaged corner radius will transfer defects directly to the finished workpiece.
