The ACCUPRO 310226 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 3/8 inch diameter with a 0.060 inch corner radius and a 1 inch length of cut. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry combined with an AlCrTiN coating provides heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. A variable index design reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 310226 is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge blending and corner radii are required on mold cavities, dies, and precision machined components. Its straight-cylindrical 3/8 inch shank fits standard ER and end mill holders. With a 2.5 inch overall length and micrograin carbide substrate, it is appropriate for moderate-reach applications in production and job shop environments where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are priorities.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine locked out per applicable safety procedures. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended gauge-line depth to minimize runout. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chipping before each use. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and tooling supplier recommendations for appropriate feed rates and speeds for the workpiece material.
