The ACCUPRO 310105 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and hard alloy materials. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The four-flute, right-hand cutting geometry combined with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. The variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic vibration during aggressive passes. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms.
The 310105 is suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in machined parts. The 0.060 inch corner radius and centercutting capability allow plunge entry and full-width passes in a single tool. The straight cylindrical shank at 1/4 inch diameter accepts standard ER and end mill holders. Micrograin solid carbide construction supports use in hardened steels, stainless alloys, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine materials.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch straight-shank end mill holders and ER collet chucks compatible with a 1/4 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the full depth recommended by the holder manufacturer. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm concentricity within acceptable limits. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
