The ACCUPRO 310001 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in milling applications. With a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) mill diameter and a 0.250-inch (1/4 inch) length of cut, this tool is built for high-performance slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes in tight geometries. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration paired with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiCrN coating provides enhanced hardness and oxidation resistance, making this end mill well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting in hardened and abrasive materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments are the primary users.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling machines equipped with a 1/8-inch collet or tool holder. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional lateral cutting passes. At 2 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank diameter, the 310001 is especially useful in small-bore and close-tolerance work where compact tool geometry is required. The micrograin carbide substrate and variable index geometry help reduce chatter and extend tool life when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials.
Designed for use in 1/8-inch collet tool holders and ER-style or precision collet chucks on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills; part of the ACCUPRO HS series of solid carbide end mills.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician with the machine in a full stop, lockout/tagout state. Use a calibrated collet and torque wrench appropriate for 1/8-inch shank tooling to ensure proper clamping without shank damage. Inspect the collet bore and shank for chips or debris before seating the tool. Follow your machine manufacturer's recommended runout tolerance for carbide end mills at this diameter.
