The tap is ground from powdered metal for improved wear resistance and edge consistency, and it carries a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that further extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a plug chamfer and H5 thread limit, this tap is built for general-purpose machine tapping where consistent 2B class fit is required.

This tap is appropriate for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and tapping machines used in job shop and production environments.
