The 1/2-inch diameter, 3-flute design features a chipbreaker geometry along the flute length, which breaks chips into smaller segments to reduce heat buildup and cutting forces during aggressive passes. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves wear resistance and lubricity. With a 37-degree helix angle and right-hand cut, this tool suits high-feed roughing strategies as well as semi-finish passes in a single setup. It is sold as a single-end tool with a straight shank.
