The ACCUPRO 2500454 is a solid carbide roughing and finishing end mill designed for aggressive material removal and finish passes in a single tool. Built from micrograin solid carbide with a zirconium nitride (ZrN) coating, it delivers extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The 10 mm diameter cutter features 3 flutes, a 37-degree helix angle, and a square end geometry, producing clean sidewall finishes while managing chip evacuation efficiently. With a 24 mm length of cut and 70 mm overall length, it suits both shallow and moderate-depth milling operations. A licensed machinist or CNC operator typically installs this tool in machining centers or milling machines.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers handling general milling, slotting, and profiling operations. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, expanding its application to ramp, helical, and direct-entry cuts. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation follow standard spindle configurations on most CNC mills. Typical applications include steel, stainless, cast iron, and aluminum alloy workpieces where combined roughing and finishing capability reduces tool changes and cycle time.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 10 mm straight shank tool holder or collet chuck.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle drive before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the collet or tool holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the holder manufacturer, and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut; excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces surface finish quality.
