The ACCUPRO 2500329 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built with 6 flutes and a 0.0200-inch corner radius, it delivers a fine surface finish while extending tool life in high-speed applications. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness, making it well suited for dry or minimal-lubrication cutting. At 1/4 inch in diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a stub-length profile, this end mill is engineered for rigidity and reduced deflection in close-tolerance work. Machining professionals and tool-and-die shops rely on this geometry for finishing passes and radius blending on hardened steels and alloy materials.
This end mill is used in CNC milling operations where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in pockets, slots, and profiling cuts. Its single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it versatile for both roughing entries and finish profiling. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers. Machinists working on mold and die components, aerospace parts, or precision mechanical assemblies will find the stub-length design advantageous where clearance is limited and rigidity is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for CNC machining centers accepting 1/4 inch shank end mills with ER or equivalent collet systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully de-energized and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention nut per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before running the first cut; maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inches.
