The ACCUPRO 2500321 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 5/16 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 60-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The tool carries a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, which increases surface hardness and reduces friction for extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With three flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, this end mill suits climb and conventional milling strategies. It is single-end and classified as a long-length tool. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations in a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts. Its 4 inch overall length and long length of cut classification make it practical for deeper cavity work or applications where standard-length tools lack reach. The 5/16 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter for straightforward collet or end mill holder setup.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems accepting a 5/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Use a properly sized collet or holder to maintain the shank diameter tolerance and minimize runout. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes when setting tool offsets and depths of cut.
