The ACCUPRO 2500318 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 7/16-inch (0.4375-inch) cutting diameter and a 1-inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and pocketing applications where tight tolerances are required. The 45-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Five flutes provide a higher feed rate capability compared to standard 4-flute tooling, making this end mill well suited to finishing passes and semi-finish machining in stable setups. Micrograin carbide substrate supports edge sharpness and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and toolroom applications where consistent dimensional accuracy is needed. The bright/uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials where coating adhesion is not a priority. Its regular length classification and single-end geometry are standard for general-purpose milling tasks in job shops, maintenance shops, and production environments. Machinists and CNC operators working with tight-tolerance features will find the micrograin carbide construction and right-hand flute direction appropriate for typical climb and conventional milling setups.
Designed as a general-purpose solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 7/16-inch straight shank toolholder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully in a collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit holder to the minimum recommended engagement depth before tightening. Confirm runout at the cutting edge with a dial indicator before commencing cutting operations. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling in accordance with applicable machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures.
