The ACCUPRO 2500250 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/2-inch mill diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a 60-degree helix angle that promotes aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating adds surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. With three flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, this end mill suits a wide range of profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling operations. It is a single-end, non-chipbreaker design with a micrograin carbide grade for enhanced edge retention.
This end mill is used in machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments where long-reach milling is required. The long-length configuration, with a 4-inch overall length and a 1/2-inch shank diameter, suits deeper cavity work and setups where standard-length tools cannot reach. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry. Machinists running CNC machining centers, knee mills, or manual milling machines use this tool for steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials where TiCN coating provides a performance advantage.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 1/2-inch ER or straight-shank tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a long-length, 3-flute square end mill.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank in a collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended pull-out force for your toolholder system before operating. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters against material-specific cutting data before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and do not operate a damaged tool.
