The ACCUPRO 2500214 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride), this tool delivers high wear resistance and thermal stability during demanding cuts. It features a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) mill diameter, a 9/16 inch (0.5625 inch) length of cut, and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The stub-length configuration provides added rigidity. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where high material removal rates are the priority. The fine-pitch, 4-flute geometry with right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction makes it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in production shop environments. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. Stub-length reach reduces deflection in setups where tool overhang is a concern.
Designed as a replacement-style roughing end mill for use in standard 7/16 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut.
