The ACCUPRO 2500147 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for high-performance cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The tool features a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating that reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding conditions. With a 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) mill diameter, four flutes, and a fine pitch configuration, it is suited to roughing passes where chip clearance and cutting stability are the priority. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. Installation and use are handled by machinists and CNC operators in job shop, production, and maintenance environments.
This end mill fits standard roughing applications in vertical and horizontal milling machines as well as CNC machining centers. The 7/16 inch shank diameter matches the mill diameter, making it compatible with ER collet chucks and other standard toolholding systems accepting a 7/16 inch straight shank. The 1 inch length of cut and 2-3/4 inch overall length position it as a regular-reach tool suited to shallow-to-mid-depth pockets, slots, and profiles. It is not center-cutting and should not be used for plunge entry without a pilot hole or ramp entry strategy.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use roughing end mill for standard milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting a 7/16 inch straight shank via ER collets or compatible toolholders.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of chips before seating the end mill. Use a calibrated torque wrench on collet nuts per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Because this tool is not center-cutting, avoid direct plunge cuts; use ramp or helical entry to begin pocketing operations.
