The ACCUPRO 2500118 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. Built to a 0.375 inch diameter with a 0.0300 inch corner radius, this 6-flute, single-end tool delivers fine surface finishes and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. The stub-length geometry with a 0.5000 inch length of cut provides rigidity and reduced deflection in tight-clearance setups. An AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance, making this tool well-suited for high-speed and dry machining applications. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, production environments, or toolroom settings will find this end mill appropriate for finishing passes and corner-breaking work.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a corner radius profile is required to reduce stress concentrations at workpiece corners or to produce radiused slots and pockets. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, giving programmers flexibility in toolpath strategy. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component finishing, and precision fixture machining where tight tolerances and controlled corner geometry are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for standard 3/8 inch collet or end mill holder systems used in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting right-hand solid carbide end mills.
Installation requires a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder matched to the 3/8 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and holding system are fully de-energized and the machine is in a safe lockout state before tool changes. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting — the maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inches. Follow the machining center manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety codes when setting tool offsets and spindle speeds.
