The ACCUPRO 2500086 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 3/16-inch cutting diameter and a 60-degree helix angle, this tool generates aggressive chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating extends tool life by increasing surface hardness and reducing friction at the cutting edge. At 2 inches overall length with a 5/16-inch length of cut, this stub-length geometry minimizes deflection during tight-tolerance work. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by skilled machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is well suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and profiling operations where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The stub-length design makes it particularly effective in low-clearance fixturing situations or when working close to a shoulder or step. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds compared to standard-grade carbide, making it appropriate for production environments running hardened steels, stainless, and cast iron. Machinists in aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing shops will find this tool fits standard ER and collet chuck toolholding systems sized for 3/16-inch shank diameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for any CNC or manual milling machine equipped with a collet or end mill holder sized for a 3/16-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from its holder. Use a properly sized ER collet, side-lock holder, or shrink-fit chuck to achieve accurate tool runout within the holder manufacturer's specified tolerance. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the specific workpiece material and machine setup.
