The ACCUPRO 2500085 is a single-end chamfer mill designed for precision chamfering operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from solid carbide, this tool delivers the rigidity and heat resistance required for consistent performance on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life. With a 60-degree included angle and 4-flute geometry, it produces clean, controlled chamfers with minimal chatter. The 1/4 inch cutting diameter and right-hand cutting direction make it suitable for both CNC machining centers and manual milling setups. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This chamfer mill is used in general-purpose chamfering applications across job shops, production machining facilities, and maintenance environments. The 60-degree included angle is a standard geometry widely applied when breaking edges, deburring drilled holes, countersinking, or preparing weld joints on steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The 1/4 inch shank diameter accommodates standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in most milling setups. The compact overall length of 2-1/2 inches suits bench mills, VMCs, and similar equipment where shorter gage lengths improve rigidity.
Designed for use in milling machines, CNC machining centers, and similar equipment accepting a 1/4 inch shank end mill holder or collet. Suitable for chamfering operations on steel, aluminum, and comparable workpiece materials where a 60-degree geometry is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify the shank is fully seated and the collet nut or set screw is torqued per the holder manufacturer's specification. Do not exceed the tool's rated speed range for the workpiece material being cut.
