The ACCUPRO 2500083 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for precise chamfering operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. It features a 1/2 inch cutter head diameter, four flutes, and an 82-degree included angle that produces clean, consistent chamfer geometry in a single pass. The bright/uncoated finish makes this tool well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and general-purpose machining where coating is not required. With a 3-inch overall length and a 1/2 inch shank diameter, it mounts directly into standard end mill holders or collet chucks. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators rely on this style of tool for deburring edges, countersinking, and beveling before assembly or inspection.
This chamfer mill is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. The right-hand cutting direction suits standard spindle rotation on the vast majority of milling platforms. The single-end design keeps the tool profile compact for use in tight setups or multi-step fixtures. It handles chamfering on aluminum, brass, mild steel, plastics, and similar materials where an uncoated carbide substrate performs reliably.
Designed as an OEM-style chamfer mill for use in standard 1/2 inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and milling machine spindles accepting a 1/2 inch straight shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout tolerances. Power down and lock out the milling machine spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended engagement depth in the collet or end mill holder before tightening to the specified torque per the holder manufacturer instructions. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use and do not exceed the feed and speed parameters recommended for solid carbide tooling on the workpiece material being cut.
