The ACCUPRO 2500039 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.3750-inch mill diameter, 1-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length, this tool delivers consistent material removal in tight-tolerance work. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports sharp edges and dimensional stability under load. Three spiral flutes with a variable helix angle reduce chatter and promote chip evacuation. This is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration with centercutting capability, making it suitable for plunge and side milling operations.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and general-purpose machine shop equipment. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in both vertical and horizontal milling setups. The regular-length geometry makes it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators working in production or job shop environments will find this a practical general-purpose tool for everyday cutting tasks.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch collets and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. No specific OEM or machine model compatibility was stated in the product data.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine powered down or in an e-stop state. Ensure the collet or end mill holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout after clamping to prevent premature tool wear or workpiece damage. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting speeds and feeds.
