The ACCUPRO 2500022 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride), this tool delivers hardness and wear resistance suited for high-speed roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3/8 inch cutting diameter and 4-flute geometry produce fast chip evacuation and stable tool engagement during heavy cuts. With a 1 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length, this is a compact, rigid tool for standard-depth roughing applications. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments will find this a reliable workhorse for roughing before finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC knee mills, and manual milling machines where roughing passes are required before a finishing operation. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. The regular length type makes it appropriate for most general-purpose roughing applications where extended reach is not required. It is not center-cutting, so it is not intended for plunge operations directly into solid material.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank roughing end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders sized for 3/8 inch straight shanks in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding guidelines. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, de-energized state before loading or unloading the tool. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts. Do not use this tool for plunge cutting into solid material, as it is not center-cutting.
