The ACCUPRO 2500021 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on metal workpieces. Measuring 0.5 inches in cutter head diameter with a 90-degree included angle, this single-end tool cuts a precise, consistent chamfer in a single pass. The bright, uncoated carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention suited to general-purpose chamfering in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.5-inch shank diameter and 3-inch overall length, it fits standard end mill toolholders and collet chucks. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this style of mill on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills alike.
This chamfer mill is appropriate for production and job-shop environments where repeatable edge preparation is required. It handles chamfering on drilled holes, milled slots, and part edges where a 90-degree chamfer profile is specified. The 2-flute geometry allows chip clearance in both through-hole and blind-hole applications. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard spindle rotation on conventional machining equipment. The 0.5-inch shank seats directly in ER collets, end mill holders, or Weldon-style holders without an adapter.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for any machining setup using 0.5-inch shank end mill holders, ER collet chucks, or Weldon-style holders requiring a 90-degree chamfer mill.
A qualified machinist or toolroom technician should install this tool using a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an E-stop or tool-change state before inserting or removing the tool. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to avoid premature edge wear. Follow your facility's lockout/tagout procedure before any manual toolholder service.
