The ACCUPRO 20403 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in tough materials. Built from solid carbide and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers extended tool life and reduced friction at the cutting edge. The bit measures 0.330 inches (21/64 inch) in diameter with a 4-inch overall length and a 2-inch spiral flute. The 150-degree drill point angle suits modern CNC and hand-held drilling applications where a self-centering, low-thrust entry is needed. This bit is installed and run by machinists, tool and die shops, and industrial maintenance technicians working with ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
This drill bit fits standard jobber-length applications across metalworking, fabrication, and maintenance environments. The straight cylindrical shank seats in standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and right-hand cutting direction, it handles typical through-hole and blind-hole operations in production and repair settings. The three-flute geometry improves chip evacuation compared to two-flute designs, making it well suited for drilling in aluminum, steel, and similar materials at production feed rates.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement or spare for standard 21/64-inch (0.330-inch) drill applications falling within the 0.3000 to 0.3500 inch drill bit size range, per ANSI specification designation.
This bit is installed by machinists and industrial maintenance technicians using standard drill chucks or collet holders rated for the shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Confirm chuck or collet runout is within acceptable tolerance before starting a new operation, as excess runout accelerates carbide wear and can cause premature chipping. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so apply cutting fluid externally when drilling ferrous materials at high feed rates.
