The ACCUPRO 15023983 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in tight-tolerance machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it handles ferrous and hardened materials at elevated cutting temperatures. The 0.095-inch cutting diameter, 3-flute geometry, and 30-degree helix angle combine to produce clean finishes with efficient chip evacuation. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1.15-inch reach, this tool is well suited for extended-reach work in deep pockets and narrow cavities. Machinists and CNC programmers working in aerospace, mold, and die applications will find this a reliable choice for small-diameter finish work.
This end mill fits applications requiring a small-diameter square end profile with centercutting capability, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. The 0.142-inch length of cut and 0.5-inch neck length make it appropriate for slotting and profiling in confined geometries. The 1/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC routers. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow conventional milling standards. Extended reach geometry supports work in deep pockets where standard-reach tools cannot reach the floor without spindle interference.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch ER collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers, CNC routers, and manual mills. Suitable for slotting, profiling, and plunge milling in ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where an AlTiN-coated carbide tool is appropriate.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank fully within the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout at the cutting tip before initiating a program, as runout beyond the stated diameter tolerance will accelerate tool wear and degrade surface finish. Never exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
