The ACCUPRO 14968917 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature applications. With a 1/64 inch (0.0156 inch) mill diameter and a 2-flute configuration, it delivers clean material removal in confined spaces where standard tooling cannot reach. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance suited to demanding cutting conditions. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in precision job shop, mold and die, and prototype machining environments.
This end mill is built for fine-detail work in small-part machining, mold cavities, and intricate contour milling. The extended-reach geometry and 0.1200 inch neck length allow the cutter to access recessed features without interference from the shank. It runs in right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction, making it compatible with standard CNC milling machine spindles. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits common collet sizes used on vertical machining centers and CNC routers handling miniature tooling. The bright, uncoated finish suits use across a range of workpiece materials where coating compatibility must be confirmed separately.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in CNC vertical machining centers and high-speed milling spindles accepting a 1/8 inch collet or tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tool-holding specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank securely in the collet to the recommended gauge line depth to prevent runout and tool pullout during cutting. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the 0.0156 inch diameter before initiating a cut, as miniature carbide tooling is sensitive to excessive loads and vibration.
