The ACCUPRO 14915611 is a lens-form barrel cutter end mill ground from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN+ for extended tool life in high-temperature cutting applications. The lens-form end geometry produces a large effective cutting radius on the barrel profile, reducing scallop height and improving surface finish on complex contoured surfaces compared to standard ball-nose tools. With a 3/4 inch shank diameter and 4-flute construction, this end mill is built for rigid setups on CNC machining centers where finish passes on 3D surfaces demand both accuracy and thermal resistance.
This tool is suited for finish and semi-finish milling of contoured or complex 3D geometries in aerospace, mold-and-die, and precision machining applications. The lens-form barrel profile is particularly effective on steep and shallow wall transitions where conventional ball-nose tools leave excessive cusp marks. The 13/16 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length provide reach for moderate-depth pocket and surface work without sacrificing stiffness. Machinists running 5-axis or 3+2 setups on hardened steel, stainless, or titanium alloys will find the AlTiN+ coating well matched to those materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with standard 3/4 inch toolholders; confirm spindle taper and toolholder bore before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to full engagement depth. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tools. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer specifications for clamping torque and runout tolerance.
