The ACCUPRO 14895464 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of fine features, contours, and radius profiles in hard and exotic materials. With a 1/64 inch (0.0156 inch) cutting diameter and a 4-flute configuration, this tool delivers smooth surface finishes and stable chip evacuation in tight-tolerance applications. The 30-degree right-hand helix angle promotes efficient cutting action while minimizing deflection at this micro scale. It is a single-end tool with a bright/uncoated finish, suited for machinists and CNC operators working in tool-and-die, mold-making, and precision component manufacturing environments.
This miniature ball end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for finishing passes on small cavities, slots, and three-dimensional contour work. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders commonly found in vertical machining centers. The micrograin carbide grade provides the hardness and edge retention required for fine-detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. The 1-1/2 inch overall length and 0.0230 inch length of cut make it well suited for shallow, precise operations where reach and rigidity must be balanced.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended grip length to minimize runout and prevent tool pullout during operation. At this diameter, excessive feed rates or improper clamping can cause tool breakage — consult the manufacturer cutting data for recommended speeds and feeds.
