The ACCUPRO 14883955 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature work. It carries a 0.0550-inch cutting diameter and a 0.0820-inch length of cut, making it well suited for fine detail passes, contour milling, and die-and-mold work where tool reach and rigidity are critical. The three-flute spiral geometry balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed when cutting harder alloys or when running at elevated spindle speeds. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool ready for a range of workpiece materials without coating compatibility concerns.
This end mill is intended for CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and high-speed spindle setups running small-diameter tooling. The 0.2750-inch neck length and extended-reach design allow access to shallow pockets and recessed features without sacrificing tool stiffness. A 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and precision collet systems commonly found in benchtop and production CNC equipment. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction follow conventional climb and conventional milling setups. This tool is typically installed and operated by CNC machinists, toolmakers, and mold-and-die technicians working in precision job shops or production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter with standard ER or precision collet toolholders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolmaker. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before tightening — do not leave excessive shank extension, as this increases deflection risk with small-diameter tooling. Verify spindle runout at the collet before cutting; even minor runout is amplified at small diameters and will reduce tool life. Power down and lock out the spindle before any tool change operation.
