The ACCUPRO 14883925 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of tight-tolerance features in small-scale machining applications. With a 0.0200-inch cutting diameter and a 0.0300-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work where accuracy and tool integrity are critical. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent performance in demanding materials. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and plastics where coating adhesion is not required. Machinists and toolroom professionals working on micro-molds, medical components, and precision instrument parts will find this end mill a reliable choice for small-radius profiling and contouring operations.
This end mill is intended for use in machining centers and CNC milling machines capable of high-spindle-speed operation required for micro-diameter tooling. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows compatibility with standard ER collet chucks and precision toolholders commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 2-1/2-inch overall length with a 0.1600-inch neck length provides sufficient reach for pocketing and contouring operations in recessed features. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in spiral flute cutting, and the right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling on CNC equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in CNC milling machines and machining centers equipped with 1/8-inch collet or precision toolholding systems; part of the ACCUPRO Miniature Series.
Micro-diameter end mills must be installed by a qualified machinist using a precision collet or toolholder rated for the 1/8-inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the tool, as runout has an outsized effect on tools at this diameter. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for micro-diameter carbide tooling before engaging the cut. Handle with care — solid carbide tools at this scale are brittle and susceptible to breakage from side loading or improper clamping.
