The ACCUPRO 14883549 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.025-inch cutting diameter and 3 flutes, it removes material efficiently at small scales where rigidity and edge integrity are critical. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in high-speed and dry-cutting applications. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is specified and installed by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop, production, and toolroom environments.
This end mill is suited for finishing and light roughing passes in small-feature milling applications such as slots, pockets, and contours. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining center spindles. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the fine grain structure needed to maintain a sharp edge at small diameters. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and precision part manufacturing where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) collet or tool holder accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Ensure the 0.125-inch shank is fully seated and clamped in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder before operation. At this diameter, runout control is critical — use a high-precision collet or hydraulic holder and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
