The ACCUPRO 14883548 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. With a 0.095-inch cutting diameter and a 3-flute geometry, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a fine surface finish in tight-tolerance applications. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting forces across the flute length, reducing vibration during the cut. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 0.75-inch length of cut, this tool is suited for shallow-to-moderate pocket milling, slotting, and profiling. The bright uncoated finish makes it a straightforward choice when cutting fluids are used and re-sharpening is anticipated. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill is used in precision machining environments where small-diameter, high-accuracy cuts are required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers, CNC routers, and manual knee mills. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and pocketing in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. The micrograin carbide grade supports higher surface speeds and longer tool life compared to standard carbide grades, making it appropriate for production and prototype work where dimensional accuracy is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and tighten to the tool holder specification. Verify runout at the cutting edge before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout on small-diameter end mills accelerates tool wear and can cause breakage.
