The ACCUPRO 14883508 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in tight-tolerance machining applications. Built on a micrograin carbide substrate, it carries an AlTiN coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials at elevated speeds. The cutting diameter is 0.0156 inches (1/64 inch) with a 0.1250-inch length of cut, making it well-suited to fine-feature milling and micro-slot work. Three right-hand spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle balance chip evacuation with edge strength at this small diameter. This is a single-end tool installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC mills and high-speed machining centers.
This end mill is intended for close-tolerance profiling, slotting, and contouring passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces where a very small cutter diameter is required. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and precision tool holders common in CNC machining environments. Typical applications include die and mold detail work, engraving features into hardened tool steel, and fine-detail profiling on aerospace or medical components where dimensional accuracy at sub-0.020-inch scales is critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collet chucks or precision tool holders accepting a 1/8-inch shank. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC3-AT-CC-30H series.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lock-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet to the recommended grip depth and torque the collet nut per the tool-holder manufacturer specification. At 0.0156-inch diameter, this tool is highly susceptible to runout-induced breakage — verify tool-holder runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut, and use conservative feed and speed parameters appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
