The ACCUPRO 14883459 is a single-end square end mill engineered for precision milling in hard and abrasive materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide with an AlTiN coating, it delivers high hardness, heat resistance, and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. The 1/16 inch diameter with a 1/2 inch length of cut makes it well suited for fine-detail slotting, profiling, and contouring work. With three flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and right-hand spiral flute geometry, this end mill produces efficient chip evacuation and a clean finish at small diameters. It is center-cutting, allowing for direct plunge entry.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and tool-and-die operations where tight tolerances and small-feature work are required. It performs in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast iron where heat generation is a consistent concern. The AlTiN coating adds thermal protection at the cutting edge, extending run time between tool changes at elevated spindle speeds. It is a standard fit for shops running precision die work, mold cavities, and intricate aerospace or medical components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for CNC and manual milling applications requiring a 1/16 inch diameter, 1/8 inch shank, single-end square profile within the ACCUPRO ASQSC3-AT-CC-30H series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Seat the shank fully and evenly in a clean, burr-free collet or end mill holder before torquing to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout at the cutting edge before beginning any cut, as small-diameter carbide end mills are sensitive to even minor misalignment. Never exceed the recommended depth of cut for the diameter, and avoid side loading that can cause tool deflection or breakage at this size.
