The ACCUPRO 14883458 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool offers the rigidity and wear resistance required for demanding cutting applications. The 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter and 3/4 inch length of cut make it well suited for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in small-feature workpieces. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The 30-degree helix angle and three-flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a strong cutting edge at this small diameter.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers and manual mills where a 1/8 inch shank is accepted. It is a right-hand cut, right-hand spiral tool, making it compatible with conventional spindle rotation. The 2.5 inch overall length provides enough reach for most small-cavity milling operations without sacrificing stiffness. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and precision part production in job shops. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry into the workpiece. This tool is sold as a single end mill and is intended for professional machining environments where tool runout and setup precision are controlled.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch round shank. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC3-AT-CC-30H series of AlTiN-coated solid carbide square end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with tool holding and runout measurement. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for the shank diameter, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. At this diameter, even minor runout or excessive tool overhang significantly reduces tool life and dimensional accuracy. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
