The ACCUPRO 14883448 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) cutting diameter with a 13/32 inch (0.406 inch) length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle. The micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention at small diameters. An AlTiN coating adds thermal and oxidation resistance, extending tool life in higher-speed applications. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting direction make this a standard workhorse end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring small-diameter precision work. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and CNC operators in machine shops and manufacturing environments.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where a small-diameter tool is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly found on CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and high-speed spindles. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Right-hand flute direction paired with the 30-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth-of-cut passes. It is appropriate for use in die and mold work, medical component machining, and general precision part production where tight tolerances at small diameters are required.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch shank end mill compatible with 1/8 inch collet toolholders on CNC machining centers, vertical knee mills, and high-speed spindle systems.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet holder. Verify collet size matches the 1/8 inch shank diameter and inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or debris before seating. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the material and depth of cut being machined.
