The ACCUPRO 14881982 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and complex 3D profiles. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work in hardened and abrasive materials. The 1/8 inch cutting diameter and 3/16 inch length of cut make it well-suited for fine detail work and confined geometries. Three flutes with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix provide a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This miniature ball end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills equipped with appropriate collet toolholding. It is well suited for finish passes on contoured surfaces in aluminum, brass, plastics, and mild steels. The extended reach geometry, with a 1.0 inch neck length and 2-1/2 inch overall length, allows access into pockets and recessed features where standard-length tools cannot reach. Single-end construction keeps the tool profile compact and repeatable for tool-offset management in CNC programs.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in 1/8 inch collets or collet chucks on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a single-end carbide ball end mill in the miniature series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder before tightening to the tool holder specification. Inspect the cutting edges and shank for chips or runout before use. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before initiating the toolpath.
