The ACCUPRO 14881896 is a miniature ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature work. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance suited to hardened and abrasive workpiece materials. The ball-nose geometry produces 3D contoured surfaces, slots, and pockets where a flat-bottom tool cannot reach. At 1/32 inch (0.0312 inch) cutting diameter with a 3-flute spiral configuration and a 30-degree right-hand helix, the tool balances chip evacuation with cutting stability. The 1/8 inch shank diameter and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it compatible with standard collet and toolholder setups common in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for precision machining applications in job shops, tool and die operations, aerospace component work, and medical device manufacturing where small-diameter cutting tools are required. The extended-reach neck and 0.3120 inch neck length allow access to recessed features and steep-walled cavities. The bright uncoated finish makes it appropriate for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and graphite electrode work where coating adhesion or chemical reaction could be a concern. It is sold as a single-end tool in the ACCUPRO Miniature series.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder runout requirements for small-diameter carbide end mills. Ensure the collet and toolholder are clean and within manufacturer runout specifications before seating the 1/8 inch shank, as excess runout at this diameter will accelerate tool breakage. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the tool diameter and workpiece material before engaging the cut. Handle micrograin carbide tooling carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges during storage and setup.
