The ACCUPRO 14881871 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and complex profiles in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end tool features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) cutting diameter, three flutes, and a 30-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright/uncoated finish suits use across a broad range of workpiece materials where coating is not required. This is a miniature-series tool intended for machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working with tight tolerances and small-feature geometry.
This end mill is suited for light to medium-duty profiling, contouring, and finishing passes on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The extended-reach configuration, with a 1-7/8 inch neck length and 4 inch overall length, makes it capable of accessing deep pockets and recessed features that shorter tools cannot reach. The chipbreaker flute geometry helps manage chip load in difficult cuts. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand spiral tool appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous materials in mold making, aerospace component work, and precision part production.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in standard 3/16 inch collets or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring extended-reach small-diameter tooling.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine shop safety procedures. Ensure the collet or tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the 3/16 inch shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as micrograin carbide tools are sensitive to excessive runout at small diameters. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine manufacturer feeds-and-speeds recommendations for the specific workpiece material being cut.
