The ACCUPRO 14799517 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of metals and engineering materials in CNC machining and manual mill applications. The cutting diameter measures 3/16 inches (0.1875 inches decimal) with a 0.0300-inch corner radius that helps reduce stress concentrations at the base of milled features. With two flutes and a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation in shallow-to-moderate depth passes. The micrograin solid carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance suited to tight-tolerance work. It is sold individually and is intended for installation and use by machinists and tooling professionals.
This end mill belongs to the Miniature series and is suited for light-duty contouring, profiling, and slotting operations where small-diameter tools are required. The 5/8-inch length of cut (0.6250 inches) and 2-inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-pocket work and precision detail passes on small parts. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Applications include tool and die work, mold making, aerospace component machining, and precision prototype fabrication where corner radius features are specified on the print.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 3/16-inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills accepting right-hand cutting tools.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or setting tooling. Seat the 3/16-inch shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and tighten to the tool holder manufacturer's specified procedure. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as solid carbide tools are brittle and should never be used if edge integrity is compromised.
