The ACCUPRO 14799516 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a controlled edge radius and tight tolerances. With a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter and a 0.0150 inch corner radius, this tool produces smooth corner transitions and reduces stress concentrations at part edges. It runs as a single-end, centercutting tool with a right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral, making it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation in a compact miniature form factor. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill for detailed work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is built for miniature and close-tolerance milling applications where small diameter tooling is required. The bright/uncoated finish suits applications where coating interactions with the workpiece material are a concern, or where re-sharpening is anticipated. Typical use cases include profiling, slotting, and corner-radius blending on small features in mold work, die making, and precision component machining. Its 5/8 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length provide sufficient reach for shallow-to-moderate pocket depths without sacrificing rigidity at this diameter.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter collet or toolholder.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine in a safe, locked-out state. Confirm collet size matches the 3/16 inch shank diameter before seating the tool, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. At this diameter, excessive overhang beyond the stated length of cut increases deflection risk and should be avoided. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for appropriate feed rates and spindle speeds for the workpiece material.
