The ACCUPRO 14799514 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling of hardened and abrasive materials. It features a 0.045 inch cutting diameter, a 0.01 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a right-hand spiral and right-hand cutting direction. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. With a 30-degree helix angle and centercutting capability, this end mill handles plunging, slotting, and profiling operations. It is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals working in CNC machining environments where tight tolerances and fine feature work are required.
This end mill is suited for small-feature work in die and mold machining, medical component manufacturing, aerospace part production, and precision instrument fabrication. The miniature series geometry is optimized for work where standard end mills are too large to reach internal radii, fine contours, or tight pockets. The 0.135 inch length of cut and 1.5 inch overall length are appropriate for short-reach applications where rigidity and runout control are critical. A 1/8 inch shank diameter allows compatibility with standard collet systems used on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles.
Designed as a direct-fit miniature end mill for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles equipped with 1/8 inch collet holders. Suitable for use in systems where AlTiN-coated carbide tooling is specified for hardened steel, stainless, titanium, or cast iron applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. The spindle must be fully stopped and the machine placed in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet to the recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut to the collet manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for chips or damage before running; at this diameter, even minor edge damage will affect dimensional accuracy.
