The ACCUPRO 14797559 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries. It carries a 0.07 inch cutting diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and a 0.375 inch length of cut, making it suited for fine-detail work in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in high-speed dry and semi-dry cutting applications. With 4 flutes and a 30-degree helix, it balances chip evacuation with a smooth cutting action. Machinists and CNC operators working in tool rooms, mold shops, and production environments will recognize this as a go-to tool for miniature profiling and finishing passes.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, close-tolerance work is required. The single-end, centercutting design allows both plunge and peripheral cutting. A 1/8 inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collet systems commonly found in high-speed spindles. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the edge stability needed when working in hardened steels, stainless alloys, titanium, and cast iron at elevated feed rates and spindle speeds typical of miniature tooling applications.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill for use in CNC machining centers, high-speed spindles, and precision collet-equipped manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut to the collet manufacturer's specification for the shank diameter in use. At miniature diameters, runout control is critical - verify TIR with a dial indicator before commencing a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and risk tool breakage.
