The ACCUPRO 14797449 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring small-diameter cutting. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end tool features a 0.02-inch cutting diameter and a 0.1-inch length of cut (LOC), making it well-suited for fine detail work, contour milling, and small-radius profiling. The 3-flute geometry with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in difficult-to-reach areas. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for a range of workpiece materials where coating compatibility is a factor. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill fits into applications where tight tolerances and small feature geometries are required. The 0.02-inch diameter places it squarely in miniature and micro-milling territory, commonly used in mold and die work, medical component machining, aerospace detail parts, and electronics enclosure machining. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows use in standard collet chucks and tool holders designed for small-diameter tooling. The 2-1/2-inch overall length (OAL) provides extended reach for deeper cavity work without sacrificing rigidity in the shank section.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill compatible with standard collet-style tool holders and CNC machining centers accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle and collet chuck are fully powered down and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Verify collet and holder cleanliness before seating the shank to maintain concentricity and prevent runout. Due to the extremely small cutting diameter, use appropriate feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material to avoid tool breakage.
