The ACCUPRO 14797411 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature work. With a 0.05-inch cutting diameter and a 0.075-inch length of cut, this single-end mill removes material cleanly in contoured surfaces, slots, and 3D profiling operations. The two-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation in the cut zone. An AlTiN coating adds thermal resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. Micrograin carbide substrate supports the edge integrity needed at this scale. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC mills specify this tool for detailed work where standard-diameter end mills cannot reach.
This end mill is suited for precision machining centers, CNC vertical mills, and high-speed spindle setups handling small-part production, die and mold detail work, and prototype machining. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and miniature tool holders commonly found in small-part machining setups. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps the tool rigid while providing enough reach for typical miniature milling operations. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC milling programs without special compensation.
Designed as a miniature series replacement-style ball end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and milling machines using standard 1/8-inch collet chucks or ER-style tool holders. No specific machine model compatibility was provided by the manufacturer for this part number.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully into a properly sized collet and torque the nut to the collet manufacturer specification. At this diameter, running parameters such as feed rate, spindle speed, and depth of cut must be calculated carefully to avoid tool breakage - refer to the carbide tooling manufacturer cutting data for AlTiN-coated miniature end mills in your specific workpiece material.
